The formula for achieving anything

I want you to write this down and stick it to the fridge, on your dashboard, and in your bathroom etc.

The formula for achieving anything is blindingly simple:
THINK + START + FINISH = ACHIEVEMENT

THINK. The first stage is to THINK. What do you want to achieve? What are your goals? What’s that one thing you’ve been dreaming of doing for years? All great things start with an idea. Whether you know it or not, you have ideas, goals, and dreams that are coiled up just waiting to be discovered. It’s been said people spend more time planning their weekend outing & summer vacation than they do planning their retirement. My guess is we spend more time going to the bathroom each day than we spend each month focused on our goals/future.

Nothing is achieved without first a thought, a spark, a mental itch. Even if you feel stuck or have no idea what you want from life, your job is to THINK for just a few minutes a day. Warning: coming up with ideas and goals is a lot of fun, but because it’s easy and takes little effort, this is where most people stop. To achieve, you can’t stop here, you must…

START. Ideas and goals are powerful because they create potential energy. In order to unleash this potential energy into movement, you must START. This is a critical step because it requires action in order to turn the ethereal into the tangible. If your goal is to start a business, at some point you need to get out of your head and take action. Once you’ve designed your exercise program, you need to dust off your sneakers and START. If you’ve determined the best way to make more money is by going back to school, you need to START by registering and attending class.

The START stage is exciting because the release of potential energy into action can be euphoric. For the first time in maybe a long time you may feel a sense of direction and accomplishment, but as important as it is to START, it’s not enough. In order to reach your goals, you must…

FINISH. This is where champions are made, goals are reached, and lives are enriched. Having the idea to write a book is inspiring. Sitting down at the computer and cranking out a few pages is encouraging. But only actually holding a completed manuscript in your hands is fulfilling. When you FINISH you’ve fully converted an idea’s potential energy into kinetic energy.

ALWAYS REMEMBER; “Anyone can be a starter. You want to be a finisher.” A finisher separates the winners from the wanters.

Not convinced? If you trace back all of your proudest accomplishments, you’ll find they all started with a thought, which led to action, which lead to achievement. Want to be a dreamer? THINK. Want to be a doer? START. Want to be an achiever? FINISH.

For the take care and hope to see you at the finish line.

To your success,

Vuyisle Khumalo

My A2W Story #1

This morning i received an interesting question from one of my followers/friends on twitter, a single parent of two based in the US. After thanking me for the continuous motivational and inspirational quotes I post on twitter & FB, she wanted to know my Avenues to Wealth story.

Hence I decided to give you a peek of who the person behind the persona of Vuyisile S. Khumalo also passionately refered to as Sbu, KHUMAVU Consulting Services, Avenues to Wealth distributor & since recently the Vuvisto blog (the latter was actually inspired by a facebook friend "Her Royal Highness" aka Louisa Soole) really is.

In this article, which which one of four I'm only going to focus on how I became involved in Avenues to Wealth (A2W).

The short answer is; I was at the right place and the right time. But I'm sure you expect more than that, right?

Firstly, I think you should know that apart from being an Aveneues to Wealth serial-entrepreneur I'm actually a down to earth, shy guy with a mind of his own and healthy sense of humor.
I'm also a father, activist for social change, a loyal friend and even though I'm based in the EU, Belgium I'm proudly South African.

Being the third of 4 siblings raised by a single parent (thanks Olady for everything), I had to step up at a very young age and do odd jobs after school and weekends to supplement my pocket money and at times to help keep the family afloat. Today, I'm so grateful I did. See now I know that work is not designed to make you rich but business is.
Driven by my love for nice things I knew back then already that I need to find other ways than work to make money. My love for business & money started.

Yes, I said it; I love money and it rates up there along with oxygen in my books.
See, I don't believe that money is the root of all evil. It's all about what you do with your money or how you acquire it that can be evil. So if you running an above board operation and is a blessing to those around you... I see no evil.

Anyway, let me get back to the topic at hand.
It was 3 going to 4 snowy Belgian winters ago, while waiting for a friend at Belgium's International airport Zaventem that a guy who spotted me while waiting for his son walked up to me and introduced himself. It was not long before we started talking business. He explained the Avenues to Wealth business to me while illustrating it on a napkin. As a business man I was impressed by his courage to walk up to a total stranger and start talking business and the enthusiasm he explained the concept to me with.

To be honest, at first I had my doubts, I thought it was a scam, something like a pyramid or 419 scheme. So, I listened to first presentation (which was online) with a critical ear. After which I went on and do some research. After googling keywords like 'network marketing and mlm I discovered that;

10% of new millionaires in the US over the past ten years have done it by building businesses through network marketing.

Even well known authors and business people such as Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad), Donald Trump (Trump University) and Tony Robbins (Robbins Institute) have all stated that Home Based Businesses and particularly network marketing, direct sales and MLMs will be the biggest growth industry of the next decade.
The highly respected Forbes Magazine forecast that an incredible 79,000,000 new home based businesses would start over the next three years. That’s over 500,000 a week – and just in the U.S.

Now that’s certainly not to say that the MLM business model suits everybody. There is always a rather large drop out or failure rate, but then that holds true for pretty much any business, online, offline, MLM or whatever. but out of the tens of millions that are started each year, there are plenty that do succeed.
Entrepreneur Magazine estimates that the US home-based business industry may be worth over $420 billion a year; that’s more than pharmacy; food; and consumer goods combined; with an average home office household earning of 65,000 US dollars a year.

So i thought; if this is what network marketing has done for the US, can the same be done for Africa?

My research continued... Now I wanted to know whether Avenues to Wealth (then Holidays and Cash) can be of business significance to Africa. This is when I really scrutinized the company. Instead of finding flaws I came across the impressive testimonies of Sipho Njiva (South Africa), John Morley (South Africa),Adeolu Akinyem (Nigeria)to name just a few. Ordinary people living extraordinary lives.

About a two and half weeks later, I realized the loss I had made by not taking this business serious. People had started earning in US dollars and I had myself to blame.

So, with the help of Jeff (the guy at the airport) I got onboard followed the marketing plan. Not long after that I started receiving one of my great loves (imali/money) and got invited to a fully paid luxury holiday in Spain (7 stars and I thought 5 stars were the highest) where I basically got more inspired after meeting some of the industry leaders.

To date I have not only made a bunch of new friends but also helped and continues to help people change their lives for the better.

Looking at the world economy today with its increasing financial uncertainty, job lay-offs etc. I'm glad I joined A2W because now i'm in control of my financial future.

I strongly encourage you to work towards OWNING YOUR LIFE and that of your family by getting onboard and start laying the foundation for a better life for you and your loved ones.

Make time this week and join our next online presentation... every Tuesday & Thursday at 12h30 noon or 19h30 in the evening via www.a2wonline.com or contact us to find out whether there's a presentation in a town near you.

I wish you excellent health, loads of success and hope to see you at the TOP soon.

To your success,

Vuyisile S. Khumalo

Characteristic required for success

If you want to be successful in network marketing or any other business model there are certain characteristics you are going to have to have. If you don’t, you are going to have to invest some time in personal development.
In this article I will focus on network marketing as it's what I'm vehemently involved in.

Confident Leadership

One of the first characteristics required for network marketing success is being a people person. You need to learn and understand how people work and feel.

People need to be attracted to you and your personality. Otherwise you will fail to recruit or you will fail to get people to stick around in your organization.

Provide confident leadership. People want to be sponsored and work with someone who is assured of themselves. One of the biggest contributors to a lack of network marketing success is someone who doesn’t come across as confident.

Understanding Point of View

Another characteristic that makes you a good people person is the ability to understand the opinions and perspective of others even if you disagree.

I can guarantee there will be times when you will disagree with your up line, sideline or down line distributors. However if you are able to understand their point of view and communicate that, it will help you go a long way toward being successful in the network marketing industry.

Demonstrate Patience

There are also some personal characteristics that you will need to be successful in network marketing. One characteristic that is an absolute requirement is patience.

You will need to be patient with people of course, but in addition you will need to be patient with the process.

There will be times when things in your business don’t go your way. How you deal with this will determine your success or lack thereof in your network marketing business.

Get Organized

In network marketing you must be an organized person. You will need to learn how to organize your time effectively.

Most people get started in this industry on a part time basis and are working with a limited amount of time. Even if you go full time, you can literally waste entire days away if you aren’t organized with your time.

Building a network marketing business also requires you get organized in the area of your finances. There are a number of financial obligations that come with running a network marketing business. If you don’t know how to organize your finances, you will find that even when you start to make money you will still struggle.

Set Priorities

Another personal characteristic that is required for success in network marketing is the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. There are a number of different priorities in a network marketing business that compete for your time.

Do you spend time on your personal recruiting or do you help a distributor on your team with their recruiting? The month is coming to an end and you are still a few sales short of qualifying for the next level. These are high pressure situations that you need to know how to manage.

The good news is that even if you don’t have these characteristics currently you can develop them over time. The key is through personal development and practice. If you are willing to put forth the effort, you can develop all of these characteristics over a period of time and be well on your way to becoming a successful network marketer in the industry.

For the rest, take care and see you at the TOP.

To your success,

Vuyisile Khumalo

TIP for your Biz presentations

Hi there,

Playing with numbers is one of my personal favorites when it come to business presentations.

During a workshop or a business presentation most trainers or presenters loose sight of two important things:

1. The NEED of the participants and,
2. How their plan or business model can help them (participants)

So, for what its worth, i decided to share a bit of my knowledge with you.

I've attended a number of presentations in my short life on this planet or in business rather. It is so sad to witness how an excellent business model is diluted to nothing just because of the gloating/bragging of a presenter. Makes me want to scream; SHUT UP YOU MORON!

My feelings aside, let's get back to the topic.

I am all for an interactive presentation, meaning include your participants for what its worth this will help you to hit the nail on the head and have a successful presentation time and time again. And please keep it simple.

So, firstly, ask participants to list their dreams, goals, aspirations etc. Depending on the size of the meeting you might have to single out a few and move on.

Secondly, ask them whether they think the latter is or can be achieved by having a J.O.B (to use John Morley's words, JOB actually equals to JUST OVER BROKE)

Don't try to convince your participants this annoys them or makes you look desperate. Just show them the evidence. This is the part when I use my number's game.

I normally, single out the youngest. Ask him how old he is. For now i'll work with 30 years.

I write his age on a flipchart. Then I write the normal retirement age 65.

So now, we have someone who is 30 years old and who's going to retire at 65.

30 - 65 = 35 right?

This person has 12 pay cheques per calendar year x 35 right?

Now you ask the group, not the person to attach a monthly salary to it.

Because the average person earns about R5 000+ I mostly work with R10 000 per month. (it's also easier for calculation) *wink* Obviously, you can work with any amount you feel comfortable with.

So, now we multiply 12 x R1O OOO and then with the remaining working years which are 35 years right?

So its 12 months per year multiplied by R10 000 monthly salary, multiplied by remaining working years of 35, right? Remember, always ask for confirmation.

Thus; 12 x 10 000 x 35 = ?, Let your participants do the math.

Answer is:?? You do the math.

Now, you pull them back to reality. Reminding to check for themselves how much they have left after paying all recurring expenses like car payments, groceries, mortgage, accounts, kids, etc

I mostly found that most people will be happy with earning atleast R1000 per month extra to save for a rainy day.

Now, this is when you go over to explaining the A2W business plan or even better compensation plan followed by the power of 3.

NOTE: This is also available online, every Tuesday & Thursday at 12h30 and 19h30 via www.a2wonline.com. I strongly suggest you make time to have a listen.

I assure you that your participants either have to be highly retarded not to join the business or unbelievably stupid not to realize that a J.O.B is designed to keep them where they are. Glorified slaves.

Also throw in a few testimonials of people who have made it in the industry as well of people who didn't because of giving up too early. If possible bring them in contact with the top notch of the industry where you are. Don't push to get people on board just for the sake of registering people. Believe me, you don't want quantity, you want quality. You want those who are prepared to hang on until the job is done, not those who give up after few tries.

I hope this helped.

For questions, you can either contact myself or Queen Mlotshwa on any of the below mentioned particulars. To your success.

See you at the top.

Think like an entrepreneur

The dictionary defines an entrepreneur as an owner or manager of a business enterprise who makes money through risk and initiative. The entrepreneur is a term applied to a person who is willing to help launch a new venture or enterprise and accept full responsibility for the outcome. Furthermore, the entrepreneur leads the firm or organization and also demonstrates leadership qualities by selecting managerial staff. Whether you are starting your first company, think of becoming a business owner or you have a great idea, being an entrepreneur requires logic, problem solving and persistence in order to succeed.
Here are 3 ways to think like an entrepreneur.

1. Always ask what, how and why? Problem solving plays an important role for an entrepreneur and it's eminent that you as the business owner are able to solve problems. No matter what you're working on or how great your idea is, it's important you ask yourself these 3 questions: How will my product/service help others. How can I make it better? What is it? What is my goal? Why is it being made? Why should it be on the market?

2. To do attitude: As an entrepreneur, most likely you will have to handle everything at the beginning until you get additional help. This means you have to have a to do attitude and be willing to do whatever it takes to make your business happen. Doesn't matter if you have to pack boxes, answer the phones, clean bathrooms this is your business and you have to accept it.

3. Think logically: some of the most successful people in the world didn't even finish college or have a PHD, but they used their logic to become successful. It's not brain surgery guys! Don't make things more complicated than it really is. Use logic to overcome your obstacles and before anything always think simple stupid!

Lastly, Have more desires than excuses.

Take care and till next time.

I just had t share with you.

Hi

Firstly, thank you for letting me know. I've been out of my mind with worry and didn't want to pester you, as you needed to be ok with sharing.

I don't know how much is involved and all the other details but I will say this, it is money. An obscene amount that I've probably never seen in my lifetime but it is just money. You have your life, and your freedom. Pay the fine, put this behind you and start again. You know you can, and that you will. This is a temporary setback. Yes you wanted to retire at 40. You can still do that. Or it can be 45. The important thing is that you have a chance to use this as a learning curve. You get to be with your kids and see them grow. Be thankful for that. You've faced many adversities before this and you have come out a better, stronger person. Don't forget that.

I don't know the why's for this to happen at this point in your life but think of when it had happened 5 years from now? I'm not saying this is nothing but like you're saying, it has humbled you and made you wiser. Then you change how you do things. Listen to your ancestors more? Put things right with them and they will never forsake you.

I don't have millions, hardly thousands so I can't offer you any getaways.

If you feel like talking I will be online when I finish cooking, but I will respect your need for space and solitude should you so choose.

Take a moment and list your blessings and be truly appreciative for them.

I wish you light.

Why you should join Avenues to Wealth

Author: Vuyisile S. Khumalo

September 02, 2011

Hello and thanks for stopping by,

Today I would like to, in a very simple way address two of the most frequently asked questions regarding Avenues to Wealth.

1. What is Avenues to Wealth or A2W as its passionately known?

2. How can I benefit from joining Avenues to Wealth.
----

1. What is Avenues to Wealth or A2W

Avenues To Wealth is an International Network Marketing company also duly incorporated in South Africa and Africa which brings together entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs under one umbrella and empower them with their amazing product called the Privilege Pack.

The Privilege Pack is an unique online portal only available to A2W members/distributors. It provides a range of benefits and privileges available to distributors of Avenues to Wealth.

These include:

Discounted flights, hotels and car hire
Access to exclusive wealth education products and opportunities
Access to cutting-edge health services at remarkable prices
Country-specific discounts on cars, accommodation, telecommunications, and a variety of everyday products
Free vacation packages in Thailand or Las Vegas
A team of professionals committed to search for more benefits for A2W distributors
A selection of valuable Ebooks worth over $3000 (roughly R21 000)

2. How can I benefit from joining Avenues to Wealth?

Well, a simple answer would be that A2W has already changed the lives of many ordinary people for the extra-ordinary. Wait!, don't decide now. Let's go through the benefits below and see if it is suitable for you.

1)It can be done part time.

You don't have to quit your job to join A2W. Therefore, you do not have to worry about putting food on your table while you are working on your business.

This means you will have enough time to build your business until you reach a substantial level of income. This is when you can decide whether you want to continue working for your boss or FIRE him.

2)Low Start Up Cost

If you want to start a traditional brick and mortar business, you will need at least several thousands of dollars or rands. However, you can easily start your A2W business with $300+$30 admin fee or R2500 for South Africa.

3)Great Earning Potential

Overtime, your income from your A2W business can grow exponentially, if you work smart, follow the FREE Training sessions (also available online thus from the comfort of your home). Eventually, you will be able to quit your day job.

4)Residual Income

Once you have built a strong team with great leaders, your organization will grow by itself without you doing much. You continue to get paid while you sleep, which means time freedom. What is the point of earning so much money if you don't have the time to enjoy it?

5)Free Training

Any good company will provide you with free training. You may be trained in areas like public speaking, marketing etc. The skills that you will acquire are priceless. You can lose everything but nobody can take your skills away from you.

6)Fast Returns

Our easily duplicable system enable you to start making profits from the get go. Obviously, it also depends on how much effort you put into your business. Our team will support you in every way we can to make you business a success. See, your success is our success.

7)Increasing Your Network

You have the opportunity to make many new friends with the same ideals. Furthermore, you will also have the opportunity to meet many successful people and learn from them.

8)Product Benefits

By consuming or using the products, you'll save money (discounted flights, hotels & car hire), gain good health, have access to investment opportunities, convenience, education etc.

9)Helping Others

Our business is in an industry whereby you have to help others to succeed. The more people you help, the more successful you become. Don't you think that's very fulfilling? As Zig Ziglar has said, "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want"

10)It is fun!

With so many benefits, don't you think it is fun? Take it from me, it is. A2W is not only a business that help you achieve your financial goal, it is also a business that lead you to a journey of self discovery. That's why I call it a Lifestyle Marketing company instead or a Network Marketing company.

That's it... Take action and start OWNING YOUR LIFE.

To your success.
